Early Intervention/Preschool: Bright Beginnings Early Learning Center

Early Intervention – This program is designed to empower parents to seek services for their child who may be experiencing a delay in one or more areas of development.

Preschool – The Bright Beginnings program offers services for eligible children, 3-5 years of age, who reside in Jefferson County and are found to have delays in the areas of cognitive development, speech/language development, motor development and/or social emotional development.  The program promotes social interaction, pre-kindergarten readiness skills and age appropriate self-help abilities.  All of this is accomplished in a nurturing environment in partnership with the parents of the child.

During 2009 there were twenty-six (26) preschool staff and ten (10) clinical staff providing services in this program.
