Speech Language Pathologist with NYS Public School Teacher of Speech & Language Disabilities: Must be licensed & registered by NYS Department of Education as a Speech Language Pathologist with a NYS Public School Teaching Certification in Speech & Language Disabilities. $53,456/annually Sign on Bonus: $2,000 annually for 5 years.
SPECIAL EDUCATION TEACHER: Special Education degree (Bachelor’s and/or Master’s) and appropriate New York State certification (initial or professional) as a Special Education Teacher unless waived by the New York State Education Department. If certification was received after February 2, 2004 Special Education Teachers working in the Early Intervention and/or Preschool Special Education programs must possess their Birth to Grade 2 certification, unless waived by the New York State Education Department. $28,228 annually D.O.E.
SPECIAL EDUCATION ITINERANT TEACHER (School Age Program): Certification in the Special Education field. NYS Provisional or other degree as waived by NYS Education Department. Part-Time. $20.68/hr.
QUALIFIED MENTAL RETARDATION PROFESSIONAL (DAY TREATMENT): Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or a related field OR current NYS license as a RN or LPN OR permanent certification from the NYS Education Department in a field of education. One year experience working with the developmentally disabled and a valid/acceptable NYS driver’s license. $28,118 annually.
DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONALS: Work in residential setting with persons with developmental disabilities providing direct care, assistance and coordination in daily living skills. High School Diploma. Driving/Non-Driving positions are available. Valid/acceptable NYS Driver’s License and two (2) years experience needed for driving positions. FT/PT RATES: Earn up to $8.40/hr. SUB RATES: Earn up to $7.90/hr. plus $.50/hr upon med certification. Sign on Bonus $400.
THERAPY AIDE: Ensure active treatment is provided, promote community integration and meet self-care needs of individuals served. Experience working with developmentally disabled preferred. High School Diploma. Valid/acceptable NYS Driver’s License. $7.54/hr. Sign on Bonus: $400.
DAY HAB CASE AIDE: High School Diploma. Valid/acceptable NYS Driver’s License. One year experience working with developmentally disabled preferred. $7.54/hr. Sign on Bonus $300.
SUBSTITUTE TEACHER AIDES: High School Diploma. Hours on an “As Needed” basis. No benefits. $9.00/hr.
COOK/HOUSEKEEPER: High School Diploma. Experience/knowledge of food preparation, nutrition, menu planning and house cleaning techniques. Acceptable/valid, NYS Driver’s License. $8.40/hr.
